Classes are primarily taught in the students' mother tongue. If students meet the required English proficiency standard, English will be adopted as the medium of instruction for some classes or groups. Additionally, students may choose to take the public examination(s) in English for all or part of the subjects.

In order to cater for students' diverse interests and abilities in the classroom, ability grouping is implemented in English lessons.

To enhance the English ability of our students, teachers will also teach English vocabulary related to the subjects aside from Chinese language and Chinese history for all non-English subjects, while students are encouraged to read more English reference materials in relation to the subjects.

We are dedicated to providing a rich English learning environment for students. All posters in the campus are made bilingual. The English Department and the English Society have arranged different types of English activities for students during lunch and after school, including English Thursdays, English Breakfast, English Podcast, and many other theme-based activities, etc.
