On 20th September 2025, Chow Cheuk Lam, Cheng Yu Tung, Kiu Hiu Yuk, Zhou Kimi, and Yeung Tsz Yau participated in the award presentation ceremony for the “Hong Kong Secondary School Students Space Station Popular Science Payload and Science Experiment Design Challenge." Their design involved cultivating lichens in space as lichens promote rock weathering and soil formation, the experiment aimed to verify their feasibility as a candidate for “Lunar Ecological Engineering”, providing a scientific basis for the development of a low-energy, sustainable lunar life support system. Thanks to their hard work, the students won the Silver Prize in the design competition!
