A new handmade wooden guitar workshop was organized to lead a fruitful summer for students. There were 10 courses with 50 hours in total. Through the workshop, the students not only learned basic woodwork, but also have a thorough understanding of the scientific knowledge in resonance, audio frequency, and characteristics of wood, etc. The students showed more patience and earnestness than expected. The finished products were not only a musical instrument but also a handicraft. It was expected that the course could nurture students’ interest in STEM and could enhance their sense of belonging when back to school in the summer.
