On 29 June 2023 (Thursday), Class 5B visited the Customs Headquarters Building, so as to enhance their understanding about the work of Disciplined Forces. Students visited Press Conference Room, Indoor Firing Range, History Gallery, Staff Self-Learning Resources Centre, etc., in order to deepen their knowledge about the history, responsibilities and significance of the Customs and Excise Department. Students have learned a great deal about anti-narcotics effort, anti-smuggling effort, protection of intellectual property rights, protection of endangered species, safeguarding national security, revenue protection and collection, dutiable commodities, ensuring the lawful administration of imports and exports, intelligence analysis, various control points, customs clearance, combatting the import and export of controlled/prohibited items, etc. Therefore, students have all broadened their horizons and learned more about society, laws and regulations.
