A parent workshop was successfully held by the Parent-Teacher Association on 11 March. The workshop was divided into two parts, including a parent talk and traditional sweet soup making. The parent lecture was given by Ms. Lai Wan Yin, the responsible education specialist of the Education Bureau. Ms. Lai shared with parents how to communicate with their children in a lively, interesting and practical way. At the same time, she also explained the brain development of dolescence, so that parents can better understand children’s needs. Everyone was focused and benefited a lot from the lecture. The lecture was followed by the traditional sweet soup making,which was prepared by Ms Chu SY, the Chairperson of the Home Economics Education. In addition to teaching parents to make delicious sweet dumpling and sweet potato soup, she also introduced relevant Chinese traditions to parents. After that, the teachers and parents shared tasty food and spent wonderful afternoon together.
