Traditional Chinese Cultural Bazaar

On 9 th August 2022, the Extra-Curricular Activities Team, Chinese History subject and the Tourism and Hospitality Studies arranged a traditional Chinese Cultural Bazaar, which was organized by an external party, for our students to enjoy. There were various exciting programs on the day. In addition to the national quintessence of Diabolo and Shaolin Kung Fu performances, there were also booths such as Touhu, making pinwheels, making iron art, making flour dolls, making sachets, and Hanfu try-on booth. Students were invited to wear traditional costumes to walk around the bazaar. Moreover, a famous character from the Journey to the West was role-played in the bazaar allowing the students to take pictures together. Our teachers and students were all actively participating in this fun-filled and enjoyable learning activity. This activity not only further deepened the knowledge of the Chinese Traditional Cultures of our students, it also greatly enhanced the teacher- student relationships and the students’ peer relationships. Our teachers and students had a wonderful experience in this activity.
